13 down 27 to go...

...weeks that is.
Baby Swenson is due February 2nd.
Elsie is still not too sure what to think about it, but she's warming up to the idea.

Family pictures

With the whole gang together for the wedding, we went out to a local park to take updated family pictures.

Busy Weekend

Alan's younger brother got married this weekend (yay Kyle and Shelina!), so we had a very full weekend with lots of family. I have a lot of pictures, so I'll probably break it up into a couple of different posts over the next few days.

Elsie had a lot of fun playing with her cousin Lucas. They are just under two months apart in age and had so much fun running around and chasing each other. It has been in the high 90's, even pushing 100 degrees the past few days, so we set up a sprinkler to let the little ones cool off.

After playing in the sprinkler, Elsie and Lucas wanted to swim with Toby the turtle. We didn't let them get in the pool, but we let them splash around and say hi to Toby.

Elsie and her "doggie"

Still not sure how I feel about this. Alan convinced me that we should at least try it out, and he really likes it. We bought Elsie one of those little backpack/harness things for her to wear. She absolutely loves it. Loves the dog, loves wearing it, every morning when she wakes up she runs to find it and puts it on. She loves the freedom that she doesn't have to hold our hand (except when crossing streets) and we love that we don't have to chase after her. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes...

Here's Elsie playing at the park. She's getting so big and independent.

Milo and Otis

In an attempt to keep Elsie from driving us crazy one night, Alan turned on the one movie we knew would hold her attention for a little bit. Luckily it worked, and we all survived the evening. She sure loves that kitty and pug...

The 5th of July

Guess we didn't do much for the actually 4th. Oh well. The parade route ran right in front of our apartment, so Alan went out early to claim a spot and then promptly went back to bed. Katie, Bryan, and Olivia came over to watch with us and eat a yummy crepe breakfast.

We wandered around the freedom festival later that evening and got our pictures taken in the Wells Fargo booth.

The 3rd of July

Alan's brother is in a high school's marching band and they had two parades yesterday they were marching in, so we drove up to watch. Elsie really liked watching the parades. Her favorites were the horses and anyone that gave her smarties.

So Stylin'

We've been busy unpacking and putting together our new apartment all week. Maybe someday I'll post pictures of our new dig. For now, this is what Elsie decided to wear today.
