It's the first week of the third trimester. It's all down hill from here right? I had my 28 week doctors appointment today. The results from my glucose test came back just fine, so no special (meaning fairly nasty) diet for me. Everything else looked pretty good too. Our little chicky is still in breach position, but that wasn't really a surprise. She doesn't really like to be head down, and she sometimes lets me know it. During the day she's normally feet down and kicking down by my bladder, but at night she like to flip over when I sleep on my side so she kicks and stretches my sides out. Last night I rolled over, but apparently rolled too fast for her and she ended up with her head down on the side I was laying on, and she didn't like it. I could feel the big hard lump of her head pushing out against the bed, and I mean pushing HARD. She wouldn't settle down until I rolled back over so she could be right side up again. Sheesh kid...
I think I've had my first braxton-hicks contractions. I've read about them, and I've always thought "how can those not be painful?", but I guess now I know. It is really the strangest feeling. Suddenly everything gets all tight and uncomfortable and stays that way until I get up and walk around. Then, just as fast as it came, everything releases all at once. It's weird...
I'm feeling quite gargantuan, but other than that, things are going ok.
