Father's Day ties

I know it is the cliche thing to do to get guys a tie for Father's Day, but how can I resist when they are this cute??

What's the point of having such handsome guys if I can't make them be matchy every once in a while? :)

Men's tie pattern here, toddler's pattern here. Super easy, super cute.

Elsie made Alan a card as well. :)

Goldilocks

It was time to bite the bullet and give Clark a haircut. His little hair kept falling in his eyes, and was long enough to have food and other such things wiped into it. It was so cute and long and reddish, but it was finally time to go.

I normally cut my kid's hair, but I was not confident at all about cutting a wiggly 7 month old, especially when I wasn't really sure how to cut it. My friend Katie offered to give him a trim and did a great job.

Still so cute, but looking more like a little boy! I better get used to him needed a haircut more often. That's the problem with little boys. :)

Last day of school

School is out! See how Elsie has grown over the past year?

Elsie had such a good year at school. She loved her teachers, had fun riding the bus, and liked getting out of the house almost every day. She will miss her friends during summer, and is very much looking forward to full day kindergarten in the fall!

Seven months

Little Mr. Blue Eyes. Clark has gone through a major Mommy phase where the only thing he wants is me every second of every day and every night. Hauling around a 20 pound little guy all the time has certainly strengthened my arms and almost eaten away the last of my sanity. I think we might finally be turning a corner with his clingy-ness, and it is probably just in time. He is a champion sitter now and will let me put him down in a pile of toys to play every now and then. He is very close to crawling; he can pivot around and scoot backwards, but is still working on forward motion. He will get up onto his knees and rock before diving nose first into the floor. Any day now I'm expecting him to take off. He is enjoying food more, especially anything he can hold himself. Clark certainly keeps life interesting!
