A few words from Elsie

Elsie was sitting in her chair pretending to talk on a phone. It sounds like it's far away because I had to be sneaky and not let her see the camera. She tends to clam up on film.

This one is a little redundant, but I thought it was kinda funny. It's Elsie watching the first video of herself.

Peanut-Free Zone

It's official. Elsie is allergic to peanuts. We took her to an allergist this morning to have the scratch test done. She didn't like it very much, but then who would like being poked in the back 10 times? She was tough and made it through alright. This picture was taken about half way through the test, and you can see that she was reacting a lot. The red bump on the left was the control, and the one on the right was the peanuts.
Lucky us, we get to carry around one of these handy dandy little life-saver devices. Elsie now has an EpiPen Jr that gets to go where she goes. We don't know what kind of reaction she will have if she accidentally eats peanuts. The first time she ever reacted it was a rash and hives around her mouth and hands where the peanut butter had gotten on her skin. Those types of reactions should clear up with Benadryl and shouldn't be a problem. But on the off chance she could have trouble breathing or go into any sort of anaphylactic shock, it's better to be safe and have an EpiPen around.

My new fridge

Isn't it beautiful? Way better than our old crappy one. It had started leaking water onto our kitchen floor, so we called our landlord about it. When he found out how old the fridge was, he just opted to get us a brand new one. You can kinda see our old fridge in the back of this old picture. It was tiny, and a lot of the room was taken up by the weird grate thing on the bottom.
So much room! We transferred everything from the old one into the new one, and it looked like we had no food...
Elsie's such a good helper. We had to put all our food in a cooler so the old fridge would be ready to go. Elsie liked pulling things out of it and handing them to Alan to put away. We had to do a little rearraging in the kitchen to make everything fit again, but it was worth it.

Sweet Snuggly Girl

This is what Elsie loves to do after her baths. Sit wrapped up in her towel with a sippy and a friend. Not necessarily with a zoned-out expression on her face. That was just because it was Sunday and almost time for church and our ward meeting time just moved to start at nap time, so... yeah. Sacrament meeting is a little rough to get through, but once she's in nursery she's just fine. Elsie is such a social little girl. Loves to be around people and other little kids. She says bye bye and gives us a kiss at the nursery door and then doesn't care that she doesn't see us for two hours. She's pretty independent like that.
Yep, that's my lovable little girl.
