Our Sunday

My little girl all ready for church
We went to the John Johnson farm after church. It was nice to get out and enjoys some of the sights

Afterwards we were invited to dinner at one of the members home. We had a very delicious shredded chicken concoction. I'm not sure what it was, but it was very yummy.
At home, Elsie found a new way to play with her taggie.

Never bet against my husband

One of the guys told Alan today that if he could make to the store across the street and buy him a 24 pack of dr. pepper in five minutes he would pay him a 100 bucks.

It only took him four minutes.

Cousins

Elsie met her cousin Lucas for the first time. Lucas had his baby blessing this Sunday, so we made the drive out to be with Alan's family for the weekend. Such cuties!

Three Months

I say this almost every post, but Elsie is getting so big! She is starting to laugh and giggle. She loves to sit up and look at the world. She really likes riding in her stroller so she can she look out and kick to her heart's content. She likes to stand up and is getting some strong leg muscles. She's started rolling over, but hasn't done it in a few days because she has discovered her toes. I think she figures its more fun to play with her feet than it is to roll over and get stuck on her tummy.

Here's the rest of the photo shoot. She was such a wiggler!

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

This was a few days ago. This is how Alan likes to play with Elsie sometimes. She seems to enjoys it too. :)

Happy 4th of July!

Since Alan and all of the guys had to work on the 4th, they all took off the day before to go out and play. We headed up to the lake for a fun (although a little chilly) day of BBQ, volleyball, and wave runners.

On the 4th, all of us girls (and kids) got together and went downtown to see all the festivities.

Elsie was pretty tired by the end of it.

But she was pretty excited when her daddy got to come home early. We considered going to the local firework show, but decided it would be too late and loud for Elsie. So we put her to bed, then showed our patriotism by eating hamburgers and watching several episodes of MASH.

Here is our little family after church today.

Alan sure likes to show off his little girl...
