Driving Day 2 - The Big One
Today was our longest day in the car. We made it all the way across Nebraska and halfway through Iowa. Elsie managed to take a long nap after our lunch stop, so that made the day go a lot smoother. Alice had one meltdown, but other than that she has been pretty calm. Elsie survived on stickers, books, and a few episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as the evening wore on. The day went a lot better than I expected, but I'm still really glad it's over.

Oh, those darling girls...(sigh). I bet they are glad the day is over, too. Here's hoping that your last travel day tomorrow will be a good one. Sending love and prayers to help you on your journeyings...
If you weren't so close to your destination, I would say turn back and forget about Wisconsin. We met the new neighbors, and they're not very sociable. And they don't have an Elsie in the window.
Forget being almost there, come back!
